Makenna James thinks her day can't get any worse, until she finds herself stuck in a pitch-black elevator with a complete stranger. Distracted by a phone call and juggling too much stuff, the pin-striped accountant caught only a glimpse of a dragon tattoo on his hand before the lights went out.

Caden Grayson is amused when a redhead literally falls at his feet. His amusement turns to panic when the power fails. Despite his piercings, tats, and vicious scar, he's terrified of the dark and confined spaces. Now, he's trapped in his own worst nightmare.

To fight fear, they must both reach out and open up. With no preconceived notions based on looks to hold them back, they discover just how much they have in common. In the warming darkness, attraction grows and sparks
fly, but will they feel the same when the lights come back on.

Elevator sex in the dark w/a stranger? Yes, please! O.K. maybe not, but a girl can always fantasize? That's exactly what I got out of this book, a fantasy, while it wasn't mind blowing it was good.

Makenna and Caden, are both trapped in an malfunctioning elevator, in the pitch dark. Caden has a slight phobia to being trapped like this, but his resolve fades when Makenna converses with Caden, and it seems to have a calming affect on him. They have a comfortable conversation with one another as being in the dark, seems to drop their insecurities and they basically only have each other to comfort.

After sharing most of their past, together, things seem to shift as the heat rises in more ways than one. Maybe it's the heat that gets to them or the idea of them letting their fears go, but they seem to cling to each other, and passion ignites, but before things go all the way the elevator starts to whirl and lights are turned back on, as normalcy seems to return, and both are left unsatisfied and wondering if their feelings will still exists now that they are off the elevator....

This story was pretty good, it was a quick read, and the sex was good. Although, I had a hard time really connecting to these characters. I'm not exactly sure why, maybe because the plot seemed a little to quick, or maybe because I had a hard time imaging just meeting someone and not even knowing what he looked like and being able to jump into ripping each other's clothes off. I mean maybe if he was someone I knew, or someone famous then the inner slut could emerge... ;) But, seriously to me if felt a little like watching porn-->which I rarely do by the way...

3/5 Roses

“I love...that elevator,” she said.

With a sleepy smile and a full heart, he turned his head and kissed into her soft hair. “Aw, Red. I love that elevator, too.”

Of course, while I read this book I couldn't stop singing   the bad boys of the group Aerosmith's Love in an Elevator. Of course I am sharing the vid. with you enjoy Steven and the rest of the boys gettin' dirty

  2. Haha! Totally agree about it being a bit odd just jumping into some sexy romping not even knowing the person or what they look like, but hey, sounds good to read about!! Great review!!

  3. I have this and have been really looking forward to it.

Call me shallow, but I could NOT have sex w/a man without knowing what he looks like. I would hate myself forever if the lights came on and he was fugly.

    Great review !

  5. The leaves are piling up in my yard because it is pouring rain and you can't easily clean up soggy leaves. Ummm sex in an elevator with a stranger would only be cool if he was hot...but still kind of scary, I mean seriously he could be a strangler or have an STD...okay
I am being way practical. I agree there is a fine line when it comes to sex in books for me am too much makes me feel like a dirty peeping Tom or like watching porno...cue the bad porn music!
