Caroline Reynolds has a fantastic new apartment in San Francisco, a KitchenAid mixer, and no O (and we’re not talking Oprah here, folks). She has a flourishing design career, an office overlooking the bay, a killer zucchini bread recipe, and no O. She has Clive (the best cat ever), great friends, a great rack, and no O.

Adding insult to O-less, since her move, she has an oversexed neighbor with the loudest late-night wallbanging she’s ever heard. Each moan, spank, and--was that a meow?--punctuates the fact that not only is she losing sleep, she still has, yep, you guessed it, no O.

Enter Simon Parker. (No, really, Simon, please enter.) When the wallbanging threatens to literally bounce her out of bed, Caroline, clad in sexual frustration and a pink baby-doll nightie, confronts her heard-but-never-seen neighbor. Their late-night hallway encounter has, well, mixed results. Ahem. With walls this thin, the tension’s gonna be thick...

In her third novel, Alice Clayton returns to dish her trademark mix of silly and steamy. Banter, barbs, and strutting pussycats, plus the sexiest apple pie ever made, are dunked in a hot tub and set against the gorgeous San Francisco skyline in this hot and hilarious tale of exasperation at first sight.

Wallbanger was a fun, funny, sexy read that once started I had a hard time putting down, staying up until 4am finishing it. A new to me author that is a new favorite for me. I will be reading more from Miss Clayton!

Caroline Reynolds are lead female character, just moved into a new apartment. She's enjoying the aspect of the move and the apartment. Having unpacked and settled down, she falls asleep but is quickly awakened by an annoying thudding sound, slumbered and confused she thinks it's her cat, but as the thudding becomes louder, she quickly realizes it's her neighbor, and they are having a great time next door. As the thudding continues throughout most of the night, as well as other sexual noises, Carol is amused at what's going on next door and decides to label said female. The next night brings on another thudding episode, but this time with a new female, again a repeat of the following night leads Carol to name this new girl, and while annoyed at staying up throughout most of the night she does find humor in the whole thing.
Another night,  brings on another new female and again a repeat of the thudding as Carol is slowly driven mad by the noise having spent most of the past nights up she is less than amused by her neighbor and finally after putting up with numerous nights of the three females and the constant wall banging, she finally goes off the handle and gets up and starts pounding on his door, freaking out, dressed in a nightie, btw! As her neighbor scrambles to the door, and is kind of upset at being disrupted we finally get a glimpse of this stud..Wallbanger  aka Simon is stunning, and although he finds Carol amusing he also thinks she is a little crazy at disrupting him and his guest. Carol is less than amused, but of course she finds him oozing sex appeal and is instantly attracted to him, but of course she won't tell him that! In her mind he is a man whore and even though he has a smoking hot bod, she treats him like he's nuts!

Simon is much more than a man whore, he is a sucsseful photographer. He is generally warm, and inviting. An overall sense of the whole package, looks, success, and sweetness, he does make  a great friend, and is very easy on the eyes ;)

What ensues throughout the book is humor,  coincidences, and no more wallbanging to Carol's surprise, as Simon and Carol find out they have mutual friends, and we watch as their friendship blossoms and continues to grow throughout the book.

Let me just say I loved this book, it was fun filled, a light read that had a good storyline and kind of reminded me of the tv show Sex In The City(without the snobbishness), as Carol would talk to herself and her cat, she met up with her friends and discussed men, work, etc.. She has a great job, as a designer, and she loves to cook--and Ina Garten is her favorite cook--mine too!! The whole storyline was a win for me and the heat and sexual tension is great, as well as what hotness ensues later toward the ending of the book.

  3. I've heard great things about this one! That it is the perfect mix of hot and funny! Always need some good comedic moments. I've totally been in situations where I've heard my neighbors in apartments having sex and it can get annoying when you have to be up early the next morning. And it is especially not as fun as this book when you see that the person is so very not hot lol
