.ARC #Giveaway The Paladin Prophecy by Mark Frost

The Paladin Prophecy was a tough read for me. Not because the book lacked suspense, action, or mystery. Not because it had a weird sense of humor, Nope. I started to read it and kind of liked it at first, but after continuing I found that the book was just not for me. I believe this book would be better played on the big screen. Maybe you would like to give it a go? I'm offering (1) ARC copy of The Paladin Prophecy by Mark Frost to one lucky reader.

*Congratulations to Amber H for winning the ARC of Shadowhunters and Downworlders  Giveaway! - HERE

Will West is careful to live life under the radar. At his parents' insistence, he's made sure to get mediocre grades and to stay in the middle of the pack on his cross-country team. Then Will slips up, accidentally scoring off the charts on a nationwide exam.

Now Will is being courted by an exclusive prep school . . . and is being followed by men driving black sedans. When Will suddenly loses his parents, he must flee to the school. There he begins to explore all that he's capable of--physical and mental feats that should be impossible--and learns that his abilities are connected to a struggle between titanic forces that has lasted for millennia.

Co-creator of the groundbreaking television series Twin Peaks, Mark Frost brings his unique vision to this sophisticated adventure, which combines mystery, heart-pounding action, and the supernatural.

  1. This sounds like an interesting book. I'm kinda curious now whether I would like the humor. ;)

  2. Oops, should have read the question before commenting...

I usually don't give up on books. It just takes me a looong time to finish then.
That's why I don't really remember the last time.

  3. Like Johanna, I don't usually give up. I just take forever. The only time I give up on them is if it is full of adult content and lots and lots of swearing that doesn't need to be there.

  4. It's been a while, but Vampire Vacation was one I just couldn't finish. :(

  5. I very rarely DNF but I was pretty close last year with Immortal Rules :) I've been pretty lucky, tho.

  6. I am usually able to force myself through some books. Right now Natural Born Angel the follow up to Immortal City is listed as a DNF for me. I will probably try to get back to it, but it's been painful and I haven't looked at it in about 3 weeks.

  7. I just could not finish Blood in the Marsh by Cianna Stone when I got to chapter 3 it wa DNR. One that I did finish hoping it would get better but should have put as DNR was Swoon by Nina Malkin

  10. Lindy's Diary and Brave New World... What went wrong in Lindy's is I already know how the story flows it failed to excite me. Brave New World is not really the genre for me so I dropped it.

  11. I actually really do want to read this book. I've been eyeing it over and over at the library, but haven't picked it up yet, then was seriously tempted to buy it for my Kindle yesterday when I saw the price was only $4.99...

Like many others, I usually try my best to finish a book; BUT the older I get, the more I say, ya know, I don't HAVE to read this! And I don't have TIME to read books I'm not enjoying! So, the last book that was DNF for me was Forever Fae by LP Dover. Obviously a LOT of people love it, and there are tons of great reviews on Amazon, it truly was a case of it just not being for me. It's not a bad book, that's not the problem - it's really just that I'm not into heavy romances anymore, and that's what the book is.

  12. I cant really think of any off the top of my head. Usually I'll try to push myself through them even if I dont really like them.

  13. I am blessed with a huge library and have not marked any DNF, but have put several aside to read later when I am in the mood. I am definitely a mood reader and a book that just does not do it for me today might take me over the moon tomorrow :) I will often pickup and put aside then pick up again anthologies.
