To want what you’re not supposed to have…

She is only nineteen.

She is his new stepfather’s daughter.

She is still naïve and innocent due to spending the last three years taking care of her sick mother.

But for twenty-four year old Rush Finlay, she is the only thing that has ever been off limits. His famous father’s guilt money, his mother’s desperation to win his love, and his charm are the three reasons he has never been told no.

Blaire Wynn left her small farmhouse in Alabama, after her mother passed away, to move in with her father and his new wife in their sprawling beach house along the Florida gulf coast. She isn’t prepared for the lifestyle change and she knows she’ll never fit into this world. Then there is her sexy stepbrother who her father leaves her with for the summer while he runs off to Paris with his wife. Rush is as spoiled as he is gorgeous. He is also getting under her skin. She knows he is anything but good for her and that he’ll never be faithful to anyone. He is jaded and has secrets Blaire knows she may never uncover but even knowing all of that…

Blaire just may have fallen too far.

On sale right now!!  Only .99!

Great New Adult book with a good storyline, characters and a surprising twist! Abbie Glines slams dunk this book in my winning basket!!!

First, let me just say that this is my first Abbi  Glines book, and definitely not my last!!

Blaire, is nineteen. She has had a rough go at it lately, her mom just passed away from cancer, and Blaire was the only one who took care of her mother and watched her go from lively to nothingness from cancer. She had to sell  the house she was brought up in for medical bills, and now she is all alone. Having lost her twin sister and her mother all within a few years, and to top everything off, her dad who was everything to her and her family left them when her sister died about four years earlier. Now Blaire must go to her dad and reach out for help from him. A man she despises. When she does he sends her to his house, which happens not to be his house, but his wife's son's house.

Rush is the son of a rock star. He's all set in the money department, thanks to dad. Rush is a sexy, tattoed, pierced, rich bad boy. He is a womanizer-BIG TIME! Now, I'll be honest I really hated him! He throws parties, almost nightly surrounded by other rich, snobby twenty-something year olds. Most of them were chicks and he took full advantage of them throwing themselves at him.

Being used to taking care of herself, Blair carries a gun, and knows how to use it. She's not some spoiled rich kid. She's had to work hard and has gone through some very rough grown-up situations. She knows how to handle herself, is strong willed,  but is sometimes naïve. She is thrusted into this new lifestyle, but is not welcomed. Yes, Rush lets her stay once he knows who she is, but he places her in less than stellar living arrangements, and basically ignores her--JERK right? -WRONG!! There are reasons to his actions!

What ensues is a great storyline, with heat, passion, and had me tearing through this book within 8 hours. I couldn't put it down. At times my heart was pounding in my chest, with the build up of what was going to happen next. Abbie, does a terrific job with reeling you in. She had me a hook, line, and sinker!
I loved the whole book and actually had no complaints! I loved the secondary characters and the secrets that unfolded, although it was a weird situation, at first I accepted the facts, and pushed through until the climatic ending, which left me dying to read the next book in the series,
Never To Far.

5/5 Captivating Roses!!

“There are some things you need to know.” He closed his eyes and took a deep breath. “I’m dealing with the fact that you may walk away from me once you know them and never look back. It scares the hell out of me. I don’t know what this is that is going on between us but from the moment I laid eyes on you I knew you were going to change my world. I was terrified. The more I watched you the more you drew me in. I couldn’t get close enough.”

"I wanted you bad that very first night. Just to be near you, God, I made up reasons to find you. Then... then I got to know you. I was hypnotized by your laugh. It was the most amazing sound I'd ever heard. You were so honest and determined. You took what life handed you and worked with it. I wasn't used to that. Every time I watched you, every time I was near you I fell a little more."

“I held his gaze. I could see the storm in his eyes. I knew he was confused. I could see the fear. Then there was the love. I saw it. The fierceness in his eyes. I believed it. I could see it clearly. But it was too late now. The love wasn't enough. Everyone always said that love was enough. It wasn't. Not when your soul was shattered.”
