My name is Beatrice. When I was born, I was blessed with the Sight. I was immediately removed from my parents and enrolled in the Institution. At the age of twelve, I had my first true vision, earning my raven’s wings. And when I turned seventeen, one of my visions came true. Things haven’t been the same since.

The Institution depends on me to keep the City safe from our enemy, the Dreamcatchers, but I’m finding it harder to do while keeping a secret from everyone, including my best friend Gabe. It is a secret that could put us all in danger. A secret that could kill me and everyone close to me.

But the enemy has been coming to me in my dreams, and I think I’m falling in love with him. He says they’re coming. He says they’re angry. And I think I’ve already helped them win.

About Stephanie:

Stephanie Thomas has been writing ever since she could put letters together to form words. When she was a small child, she would present her mother and father with self-made newspapers filled up with make believe stories and pictures. Her love for writing followed her all throughout her schooling, where she entered and won writing contests of all sorts. Stephanie decided to become an English teacher and completed her B.A. at The Pennsylvania State University. While teaching, she later went on to get her Master’s in writing from The Johns Hopkins University. She completed her very first manuscript during her graduate studies, and by the end of the program, she had completed two more. Stephanie is quick to tell anyone that she’s a born and raised Philadelphian, and her heart will always belong there. She moved to Baltimore with her husband, and they’ve been living there for the last five years with their doggie, Sailor, and their rabbit, Buns (aka “T Sizzle).

ISBN: 1620610914

In the future, only one rule will matter:

Don’t. Ever. Peak.

Seventeen-year-old Ari Alexander just broke that rule and saw the last person she expected hovering above her bed — arrogant Jackson Locke, the most popular boy in her school. She expects instant execution or some kind of freak alien punishment, but instead, Jackson issues a challenge: help him, or everyone on Earth will die.

Ari knows she should report him, but everything about Jackson makes her question what she’s been taught about his kind. And against her instincts, she’s falling for him. But Ari isn’t just any girl, and Jackson wants more than her attention. She’s a military legacy who’s been trained by her father and exposed to war strategies and societal information no one can know — especially an alien spy, like Jackson. Giving Jackson the information he needs will betray her father and her country, but keeping silent will start a war.

Not just any old prophecy either, but one in which Kellen plays a key role.

Suddenly, Kellen finds himself on the run through a Celtic underworld of faeries and demons, angels and gods, not to mention a really ticked off pack of hellhounds, all in order to save the world from darkness. But will they make it in time?

Stephanie Keyes holds an undergraduate degree in Management Information Systems as well as a Master’s in Education. A seasoned, facilitator, Mrs. Keyes worked in Training and Development for an international telecommunications corporation for twelve years; spending the first eight years of her career as a Software Trainer and Technical Writer and the last four working in Human Resources and Employee Development.

In May of 2012, Mrs.Keyes left the corporate world to focus on her family and her writing full-time. She also operates a freelance graphic and instructional design business, Sycamore Road Design.

Inkspell Publishing will release her first novel, The Star Child, on September 21, 2012. She is now currently at work on the second book in The Star Child Trilogy, The Fallen Stars.

Keyes lives in Pennsylvania with her husband, two children, and Riley the dog.

Kellen, are male lead protagonist, is a smart, college educated 17 yr.old! Yes, 17 and already a college graduate, so you already know he is super smart! That really doesn't change the fact that he has no support from his family, his mother died, his father is not the greatest, and he can't explain his recurring dreams, that he  has been having for years.

Kellan decides to set off to Ireland, to his recently deceased grandmother's home as he is drawn to the country via his dreams, and a girl who seems to always appear in them.

Caliente, the girl in his dreams, shows Kellan there is more to his dreams and introduces him to another world.
A world unlike ours, filled with creatures. These creatures include Faires, Gods, demons, gargoyles, and many more...

Kellan must fill a prophecy, along with the help of Caliente their journey embarks them over the land fighting the "evils" of this "other" world.

The Star Child was a good read, although slow at times the pace did pick up as the adventure was played out and the action rivets up as these two journey across the "other world". I would recommend this book to Fantasy, epic readers, but I would keep it under the middle grade genre.

4/5 Stars -

InkSpell Publishing is giving away an
Autographed Paperback copy of The Star Child,
5 ebook copies of The Star Child,
6 of The Star Child Poster and bookmarks!
Paperback and posters is open to US and UK only. The ebooks are international.

The Hobbitt: Official Movie Trailer #1 and #2

The Hobbit is a classic! Of course many of you already have read The Hobbit, probably in school as a required read. I recall reading it and falling in love with the imaginative mind of  J.R.R Toilkien and his imaginative world of creatures. First Published in 1937, it has spanned countless generations and has exposed readers to a fantasy that can be read at any age.  With the hits of Lord Of The Rings book series, and movie, it is only fitting that they bring the Hobbit to life on the visual screen, as this book is what all started the journey of The Golden Ring and a vile creature with a seemingly, haunting voice.. my Precious...Gollum, greed at it's best and worst. Embark on the journey with the Dwarves as they show their strength and fearless journey to come face to face with the relentless Dragon, Smaug the magnificent.
I cannot wait to watch this book come to life on screen. Enjoy the trailers!
Dwarves kick butt!

Movie Due in theaters December 14, 2012

The HobbitIn a hole in the ground there lived a hobbit. Not a nasty, dirty, wet hole, filled with the ends of worms and an oozy smell, nor yet a dry, bare, sandy hole with nothing in it to sit down on or to eat: it was a hobbit-hole, and that means comfort.

Written for J.R.R. Tolkien’s own children, The Hobbit met with instant critical acclaim when it was first published in 1937. Now recognized as a timeless classic, this introduction to the hobbit Bilbo Baggins, the wizard Gandalf, Gollum, and the spectacular world of Middle-earth recounts of the adventures of a reluctant hero, a powerful and dangerous ring, and the cruel dragon Smaug the Magnificent.

Book Trailer: Inbetween by Tara Fuller

Hey guys, have you checked out the Inbetween book trailer, yet? It's a little #hot and #heavy!

Watch below and tell me your thoughts! Are you ready for #FINN?

InbetweenSince the car crash that took her father's life two years ago, Emma's life has been a freaky—and unending—lesson in caution. Surviving "accidents" has taken priority over being a normal seventeen-year-old, so Emma spends her days taking pictures of life instead of living it. Falling in love with a boy was never part of the plan. Falling for a reaper who makes her chest ache and her head spin? Not an option.

It's not easy being dead, especially for a reaper in love with a girl fate has put on his list not once, but twice. Finn's fellow reapers give him hell about spending time with Emma, but Finn couldn't let her die before, and he's not about to let her die now. He will protect the girl he loves from the evil he accidentally unleashed, even if it means sacrificing the only thing he has left. His soul.

Inbetween (Kissed by Death, #1) Coming August 2012 from Entangled Teen
