Once you’ve seen, you can’t unsee. Everything changes when you’ve looked at the world through . . .
ANGEL EYES
Brielle’s a ballerina who went to the city to chase her dreams and found tragedy instead. She’s come home to shabby little Stratus, Oregon, to live with her grief and her guilt . . . and the incredible, numbing cold she can’t seem to shake.
Jake’s the new guy at school. The boy next door with burning hands and an unbelievable gift that targets him for corruption.
Something more than fate has brought them together. An evil bigger than both of them lurks in the shadows nearby, hiding in plain sight. Two angels stand guard, unsure what’s going to happen. And a beauty brighter than Jake or Brielle has ever seen is calling them to join the battle in a realm where all human choices start.
A realm that only angels and demons—and Brielle—can perceive.

Review
Being this is so out of my normal reading realm, I really wanted to dip my toes into something different. Angels are a subject that I have read in books, but this one touched upon the religious aspect a little more than I was used to. Now, I'm not saying it's a bad thing, just a different thing for me.
Brielle had dreams of becoming a famous ballerina, but after a tragic event things started to change for Brille. She goes thru heartache and finds it hard to adjust to her life after. She moves back home to her Father's house. Even though we don't find out right away what happened to Brielle, we learn right away of her feelings from the loss. Of course, no book can be complete without a love interest and Jake fits that bill. He is caring and helps Brielle's mood change from sad, to a more tolerable happiness. Now, Jake has a gift, a power that evil forces want and the roll that he plays in this book is just as important. Brielle herself has an important role to play and weather or not she'll join in this battle of good and evil.
Now, there is more that is going on in this book because there are Angels and Demons in this book and they are a big part of this story, but I don't want to spoil anymore of this story for you, read it and see what unfolds.

This book actually is written under different Pov's and even though I'm not a huge fan of that writing style I can say it wasn't that difficult to follow. The only thing that swayed me to give this book a 3 star rating was because of the overly religious aspect of this story. Now, it may be fine for you and I know some people won't mind it, but for me I'm not a big fan of religious tones in a book.
Great review! We really agree on this one. I liked some parts of it but the whole religious aspect and confusing POV changes stopped me from loving it. I did like the angel lore itself though it was different.
