Thank you so much for letting me join your blog today, Lisa! Guest post are so much fun for me because I get to meet lots of new people. I jokingly say that I could have written a library full of books by now if I would stay off Facebook and twitter but the truth is I'm one of those rare, chatty authors that loves meeting people. Guess you're wondering who the heck this person is right? I'm Wenona Hulsey, author of the Amazon bestselling Blood Burden series. My books are affectingly called genre freaks because they overlap the fantasy, romance and suspense categories. There's even a healthy dose of humor in there too.
The series starts out with the novelette Blood Awakening which gives you a look into the life of Nicole (main character) and her best friend before their world is turned upside down by an ancient power that has been sleeping in Nicole's veins. It also lets you see the very moment that the power starts to the surface and the mysterious man that starts the epic chain of events that plays out in the modern day novel Burden of Blood.
Right now I'm working on the final book in the series titled Blood of Fire. It will be Nicole's greatest struggle to either choose to accept the power that is her burden−becoming the woman she needs to be−or to turn her back on two supernatural races, fea and warrior, and also on the man she loves so she can pretend to have her normal life back again. The series is an emotional ride to say the least! It has been a ton of fun to write. I've recently been asked by a fan if I would do a spin off to the series? My answer is…I'm not sure. I have lots of ideas that would go perfect with Nicole and Luke's adventures (and steamy moments) if they went back to being police officers but my head is always full of stories lol. Only a few actually ever make it to the pages of my books.
