My Review:   A must read series! You will fall for this tortured hero within the first few chapters.    *Favorite ♥

This is book three, in the continuing series of the Black Dagger Brotherhood, and I must say it is the best so far. The story is centered around Zhadist. A tortured, moody, son of a b, who oozes sex appeal. Z has been put thru alot of torture in his past and it effects every aspect of his being with his present.
A ruthless, withdrawn, angry Brother he must come to terms with his feelings for Isabella, a beautiful,  Aristocrat vampire, who is imprisoned by a lesser. Lesser's are killers of vamps, and Z is tortured with the fact that he cannot find Bella and save her from the Lesser.

 A manhunt is soon underway and the Brothers soon find the badly tortured Bella. Z will stop at nothing to save her and helps her heal her wounds and cares for her, and soon deeper feelings are surfaced for Bella. He knows she is too good for him, and his past has come back to haunt him.
 Can he put his past demons behind him and fall for the beautiful Bella? Can he kill the Lesser who brutalized Bella in time before he comes back to reclaim what he thinks is his? Can the Brothers overcome a great sadness and loss, to be able to continue being the protectors that they have trained to be? Will a Brother have to choose the ultimate sacrifice and lose everything now that he has found something to live for?

My Review~

*Black Dagger Brotherhood, being this the only series of books that I read from Ward, I am not going to review all of her books/series. I am only on book #4 of the BDB. But I am really enjoying this series and found myself "falling" for Zhadist, my favorite Brother.
 I would like to say this series is a definite must read for all Paranormal Romance readers.

J.R. Ward writes her books and characters with passion and realism.

The Brothers of the BDB are strong, heroic, vampire warriors that will capture your heart and will have you rooting from one warrior to the next as you read each of their individual stories. BDB series is a story of good verses evil, the good would be the Brothers, the evil are the Lessening Society(more info below)aka the Lessers.

Each book has action, romance, and a continuing storyline. Books should be read in order to fully understand the ongoing saga as each story is intertwined into the next. Romance between the Brothers and their prospective mates are a definite rated R as well as the strong language used in this series.

• Black Dagger Brotherhood: Highly trained vampire warriors who protect their species against the Lessening Society. As a result of selective breeding within the race, Brothers possess immense physical and mental strength, as well as rapid healing capabilities. They are not siblings for the most part, and are inducted into the Brotherhood upon nomination by the Brothers. Aggressive, self-reliant, and secretive by nature, they exist apart from civilians, having little contact with members of other classes expect when they need to feed. They are subjects of legend and the object of reverence within the vampire world. They may be killed only by the most serious of wounds.
