It's been a long time since I did a NUCU post. It was a fun feature that I came up with last year and I ran with it at least six or seven times. I love sharing the news with you guys but life was getting hectic for me and I don't always seem to have the time to gather up all the info. needed for this meme, but I'm going to commit myself to make time, and you'll see more NUCU post in the future.
Leave me a comment below to share your thoughts about this news feature and or the news featured in this post.

New Book Covers
Check out the newest 'Half-Blood Prince' cover just revealed at Comic Con.
Dumbledore and Harry stand solemnly along the rocky shores of an ominous cave — readying themselves to destroy one of Voldemort’s Horcruxes. Sadly for mega fans worldwide, this isn’t a sneak peek at a new Harry Potter book, but it sure looks like one.
Author and illustrator Kazu Kibuishi, known for his graphic novel work on Flight and Amulet, continues his tenure as Harry Potter cover artist with the moody paperback cover for J.K. Rowling’s penultimate novel in the series. The cover is being revealed currently by Scholastic at Comic-Con in San Diego, but you’re seeing it online here first! *EW
Check out the paperback version of Starters, Enders and a new Short Story
The paperback version of Starters, author Lissa Price’s debut novel. In honor of the re-release—complete with a new look (see above), and a never-been-seen short story “Portrait of a Spore”—we got our hands on the cover of Enders, the sequel to the 2012 YA novel. After the jump, check out an exclusive excerpt from Enders (out Jan. 7).

Hachette Book Group Acquires the Hyperion Adult Imprint
Deciding that a standalone adult imprint does not fit with its long-range plans, Disney is selling the majority of Hyperion titles to Hachette Book Group in a deal that is expected to close in mid-July. HBG will acquire more than 1,000 adult backlist titles plus another 25 books that it will release over the next few seasons. Disney will retain the most media-related titles such as its Castle series which ties into the ABC television show of the same name. The book franchises that will remain with Disney will be overseen by Disney Publishing Worldwide. Disney’s children’s imprints, Disney and Disney-Hyperion, are not affected by the sale.
The deal includes the Hyperion name and HBG will continue to publish the Hyperion books under that imprint. Hyperion employees will stay with the company until the deal is completed and will help with transition issues. Some Hyperion employees are expected to join HBG in such areas as editorial and publicity. Other Hyperion employees will be given the opportunity to interview for other positions at Disney. *Publisher's Weekly
AUTHOR NEWS
Congratulations Jennifer!!! The Lux series is coming to the big screen!!!
New York Times bestselling author Jennifer Armentrout's YA novel is the first in the five-title "Lux" series.
Sierra Pictures will finance and produce the film adaptation of Obsidian, about a 17-year-old girl who discovers that her neighbor is anything but the normal guy next door.
Jennifer Armentrout's YA novel, published by Entangled Publishing, is the first in the five-title Lux series.
The story follows Katy Swartz as she moves to rural West Virginia just before her senior year, resigned to a life of boredom. Things look up when she meets Daemon Black, her neighbor, but she quickly finds herself infuriated by his arrogance. However, Daemon and his sister soon turn out to have otherworldly powers with a galaxy of enemies pursuing them, with Katy caught in their crosshairs.
